The best part of buying the version of The Magus that had a colorplate section was getting to practice my Vessel of Iniquity face.
Apart from the lack of ginger beard, I’d say I’m pretty dead on.

THE YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES NOVELS - REVIEW
While Sir Arthur Conan Doyle may be responsible for the creation of Sherlock Holmes, and the original fifty-six short stories and four novels, it’s an obvious and glaring statement of the enduring appeal of the character that he has been taken and refashioned into so many further adventures in film, television, and print. Just out in paperback is another example that ably demonstrates the characters flexibility – the fourth novel in author Andrew Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes novel series.
I cannot express how much I adore this series. If I haven’t been able to persuade you to read them yet, maybe this post can!

This is why I cast Colin Morgan as Young/Teen Sherlock Holmes. He is just all too eerily similar.
My brother was even watching Midnight a few weeks back and called me into the room to ask, “Is that the Sherlock guy?”
True story.

KATIE HAS A CLEAROUT LET’S GIVE AWAY SOME BOOKS [1/4]
okay.
I’ve read all of these books far too many times for me to enjoy them properly any more, and since I’ve had a clear out I no longer have room for them anyway. SO
here is the hoedown showdown
there are 37? I think Doctor Who books here.
so 37 people get a Doctor Who book.
YAY.
RULES AND STUFF
- I don’t want to get followers out of this. It’s just me doing some fellow Whovians a favour. But if you have a look at my blog and like it then by all means go ahead. If not, then not.
- I don’t really mind how many times you reblog it, but please spare a thought for your followers. I know I don’t appreciate my dash being made up of one post time after time.
- The books will be randomly allocated to whoever. So you get whatever book you get. No complaining. There’s a decent mix of Doctors/Companions, so hopefully you’ll all be happy.
- I’ll leave it open two weeks. So it ends on the 5th April. I’ll use a random number generator to pick out 37 numbers and bobs your uncle.
- Reblogs only, please and thank you.
HAPPY REBLOGGING.

Attention human beings:
You have every right to have your own opinion.
- Doesn’t mean your opinion isn’t protected from being offensive
- Doesn’t protect you from being called out
- Doesn’t guarantee you an audience
Sorry, but that’s not the magic bullet towards “I CAN SAY WHATEVER I WANT”.
Curse of the Fandoms
- Doctor Who Fandom Curse: Knowing that at some point your Doctor will have to regenerate.
- Supernatural Fandom Curse: Knowing that your Series will end.... and soon.
- Avengers Fandom Curse: Knowing that Joss Whedon will likely kill a favorite character.
- Twilight Fandom Curse: Knowing that you will never win a fight against another fandom.... ever.
- Harry Potter Fandom Curse: Knowing that it will never be as good as the first time around.
- Sherlock Fandom Curse: Knowing that after waiting forever you will probably only get three more episodes with a cliff hanger even worse than the previous one.

You restart the world. It’s a merging of the last three fictional worlds you experienced. What happens?
- A Series of Unfortunate Events, Firefly & The Addams Family.
Well that sure is a random bunch of wonderful folk.
The way I see it the Baudelaire orphans wind up stowing away on Firefly and convince Captain Mal to let them stay.
Kaylee and Simon and the rest of the crew act as surrogate guardians who ironically turn out to be far more caring and stable than their previous stay with Olaf and Mr. Poe.
They spend many months zipping about space in which Violet hels Kaylee invent parts to keep Firefly running, Klaus merrily reads all he can from Simon’s medical books while also having many an indepth discussion with River and Sunny helps Jayne by biting through ropes whenever he get himself in a bit of a pickle with the law.
Firefly stops for trading on one of the outer moons where they meet The Addams Family who are only too happy to take them in under permanent adoption especially after hearing their tales of woe, which if the Baudelaire’s aren’t mistaken seemed to delight them in some weird way. Despite their vampiric like appearance and the house initially reminding them of Count Olaf’s they soon adapt to their kooky ways and learn to become very happy once more. Violet helps Wednesday invent new devices to trap Pugsly in, Klaus explores the Addams’s very vast and very old library reading everything from the Dark Ages to now and Sunny takes a great liking to Thing, the two are often found running around the house together up to all sorts of mischief, it also helps that many of the weapons Gomez has in his collection are very sturdy and perfect for biting.

The way finds you.: Drabble gift for one owlett. Happy birthday!
She visited John the day of the funeral. She didn’t know what else to do.
Mrs. Hudson let her in, already dressed in somber colors. She gave Molly a wan smile and directed her upstairs before going off to do something in her own flat. Molly climbed the stairs to 221B. The last time she had been…
This was brilliant! I love how easily it could slip into the BBC!Canon & you captured Molly perfectly! Everyone should go read this right now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWLETT
i drew this for you. a collision of fandoms i hope you’ll like. it’s pretty much crossover canon that sherlock’s a ravenclaw & john’s a gryffindor right? this is a gesture of love & affection to you for being a fantastic friend, incredibly kind & super-interesting too. ♥
GESTURE OF LOVE AND AFFECTION ACCEPTED AND RETURNED! <3 OH MY GOSH! I LOVE IT! El you are so damn creative, kind and wonderful! I WILL PRINT IT AND ADD IT TO MY WALL RIGHT NOW! *cling hugs you & the picture*
As for the houses no one can agree what house they are in and really only the Sorting Hat will know. Many put John in Hufflepuff and Sherlock in Slytherin. Frankly I just find it so damn cool that they are in Hogwarts that I couldn’t give a crap what house they were in. On the plus side having Sherlock in Ravenclaw means he can hang out with me! Though I’d probably just annoy him! I do look pretty happy on John’s arm though. Hooo!
